Grew up playing and loving hockey and golf. Played minor and junior hockey in Manitoba. Moved to the United States for 10 years playing hockey. Graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in International Studies. Was lucky enough to play hockey for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. Winning an NCAA championship in 2000. Went on to play pro hockey in Macon, Quad City, Augusta, and Winston Saleem.
Move back to Winnipeg to start my professional career in Industrial sales. Worked really hard in creating long-term relationships with all my customers. Found out how driven I was to be able to provide a trusted partnership with all my accounts. Earned by hard work and attention to detail in customer needs.
After 10 years of sales, I was offered a position to manage and run a Goalie training facility out at the Ice Plex called the Ice Lab. My love for hockey and expertise in goaltending has created one of the best training facilities in western Canada for all goalies of every age and skill.
Childhood friends with Kelly Watkins, which lead to my interest in the maintenance side of golf. Over the last ten years, we have been in touch with possible ideas of how to become more involved with this great company.

With over 20 years of experience, Barry brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to local golf courses and businesses in the lower mainland.
After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, Barry started in the golf industry as an Assistant Superintendent for 6 years and then a Superintendent for the past 16 years.
His expertise in Superintendents' needs and expectations combined with a passion for learning about all issues related to your property will help insure successful future relationships. In Barry’s spare time he enjoys doing nothing!
Brad Smith has been immersed in the business of golf, turfgrasses and the environment for the past 30 years. He graduated from Olds College in Horticultural Science with a major in Turfgrass Management.
Brad has a diverse background of industry related experiences including Assistant Superintendent at one of Golf Digest’s Top 100 resort courses, instructor at his former alma matter, technical sales representative with a professional turf products distributor in Calgary, Director of Sales for Canada for an international foliar fertilizer manufacturer, and Sales Manager for a major sod, nursery and garden center.
His responsibilities reflect the knowledge he has accumulated as a respected agronomist. Brad currently holds the position of Technical Sales Representative for Northern Alberta & British Columbia with Keso Turf Supplies.
Kelly Watkins has been with the Keso Team since January of 2004 based out of Calgary. Hired by MPK (Mr. Michael Kendall) cofounder of Keso Turf Supplies.
Kelly brings over 31 years of experience in the golf industry ranging from Club House, Pro Shop, Contract Work and the Turf Maintenance Team.
Kelly grew up on the golf course along with his Twin Brother Kerry working for their father Master Superintendent (retired) Ralph Watkins.
It’s come full circle as they say with Kelly providing Keso products and services in which he grew up with.
Scott graduated from Oregon State University in 1987 and shortly thereafter started his career at the University Golf Club in Vancouver, BC. In 1988 he joined Keso Turf Supplies where he has worked ever since.
Earlier in his career with Keso, Scott's primary role was in sales covering most of British Columbia.
As the company grew, his role changed to more administration, logistics and support to our customers and staff.
While Scott is starting to look to retirement, he continues to play a role in the day-to-day operations of the business.
Trevor started his golf industry career in 1973 at the Sunshore Golf Course in Chase, British Columbia and has enjoyed 48 years of employment in the golf industry.
Over those years he was employed as a golf course superintendent for 27 of those years and Golf Course Manager for five.
Employed with Keso Turf Supplies for the past 15 years, with the past six years as a partner, Trevor also owns and operates a small golf course consulting business as well as a summer resort operation.
Tyler brings to the role of a wealth of knowledge in the horticulture industry gained through his 16 years of experience across multiple verticals of plant health, specifically golf course turf and greenhouse management, including extensive knowledge in perennial and annual plants.
Tyler’s direct experience, in combination with his in-depth knowledge of KESO products, enables him to meet and exceed the needs of the modern turf manager, and related horticulture industry.
